New York, N.Y. (November 18, 2024) – Play Bridge At Sea™ --Dream Vacations is a New York based travel and event travel agency that specializes in operating a multi-channel program for guests who play the game of bridge.
Originally started more than 10 years ago, the company has evolved into the preeminent operator of Bridge events at sea, on land and online. The vision for the company from co-founder James Gundell, and Ed Brill has been to bring expert bridge education to our guests, regardless of their starting knowledge, while elevating their skills and understanding of the game. We started with only bridge cruises but elevated our offering to include The Bridge Academy, a land based bridge program.

Recently, we completed our fifth Academy in Palm Springs, California, and we will operate more in 2025 and beyond.
Many of our students are American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) members, and we offer ACBL sanctioned games with master point awards. Most of our students do not join us for the games, but for the education and the environment. “Rather than teach a few conventions and focus on master points, we strive to explain the logic behind bidding and play and to give our students the tools to think more critically in making their bridge decisions. Good results flow from there!” says Sylwia McNamara, one of our bridge professionals.
“Bridge is more fun to play when you are doing well, and we teach you how to think about bridge the way experts do, so you can play better. Bridge is more fun to learn when on vacation in a beautiful location. Our travel events let you learn bridge around the world.
